It has been only 11 days, and what should I say about it? It is already over. I guess I should work hard next year in 2026, haha. Nah, I’m just kidding. 2025 has been great so far, but already with many ups and downs. On the first day in 2025, I had a major breakthrough in my trading model. That performance was never seen before, but the win rate is still just about 50ish....
2024 has ended just like that before you realise it. It is challenging to say whether it was good or bad overall. All my goals sort of fail, but other things are coming together. Like the market, unknowns await everyone in this new year, the beginning of a new cycle… In the past, I often questioned myself about what I had done in the last year, not much like always. However, that’s me always doing not enough, then starting to have crazier goals in the next year....

In February, I went back to Singapore to revisit my past life, and it was where I started programming 10 years ago. In April, I was back in my motherland ever since the pandemic started, and it was the place where I spent my childhood. In July, it was my third visit to Japan to meet my Ryuta’s aniki once again since 2019, and it was always a special place for me....

Funny that I was discussing whether my past ten years of programming was meaningful. It is fast how things change. Last time, I went to UNSW for the 30th anniversary of CSE. The speaker said something like this, AI is overhyped now but will be underhyped in the future. That future… is now....
Last month, I started trading. It has been a fun and engaging experience so far. I went from 5% to 15% in two days and down to -5% in less than two weeks. It really teaches me about the market and also about myself. I am trading US stocks with IKBR, and it is extremely challenging due to the time difference. Sydney is now 16 hours ahead of New York. That means that the market starts at 1:30 AM....
After almost 8 years, I was back in Singapore earlier this month to celebrate my 10th year of programming. Also, I wanted to test a few things to prepare for my next Japan trip.
