Last Sunday, we landed in Tokyo, and this is my fourth trip there. I’m sure there will be more in the future. Every single time I’m here, I ask if I went to the right place. If I took the same path 10 years ago, would I be happier if I went to Japan instead of Australia?

Long before I even went to Singapore, I was really influenced by Japanese culture. Was it because of the similarity between cultures? Anyway, this is the background of everything. 2018 was the first time I actually visited Japan ever since 2014, when that fateful day happened.

The first time, I visited Kyoto and stayed there for over a month before I went to Tokyo. It was truly magical in all ways. Kyoto was rich with culture, and I loved everything about it. That one month in Kyoto was also the last before things got wild. It was my happiest month even until now. When I took the Shinkansen to Tokyo, I finally met my Ryuta’s aniki after almost 4 whole years. Aniki was just waiting there for me, we waited for this day for very long.

The 2019 trip was great with my Cody senpai. We went to Nikko and did some mountain climbing together. It was tough but fun. Nikko is also quite nice. The Yen was extremely expensive though at that time. That’s why I started saving Japanese Yen I guess? I didn’t know the Yen is also quite magical in the FOREX, so yeah, this time, I got lots of Japanese Yen with me. It was fun I guess.

After COVID, I went in 2023 to both Singapore and Japan. Well, I have a few posts in draft. Probably, I will write more and complete them in the future. 2023, I was solo travelling and visited most places I guess. Sendai, I think I also went there because my friend is doing a PHD there. It is still the case now. It was nice because I was in Sydney for tooooo long before I could go anywhere else I guess.

Then, it is this time with my family. Nothing really new, but I guess if I will come to Japan again, it would probably be other areas. Maybe, sendai and then I go north to Akita. One of my senpai went there for 1 year. I want to be Japan for longer to be honest, maybe 6 months to 1 year would be nice. Maybe, in the future, I will have the opportunity. Nobody knows…

Overall, you get to feel the magic of Japan very quickly, it is everywhere. The food, daily things, transportation and the culture. You will love this place if you are like me, an introvert I guess. However, as a working person, Japan is very bad in terms of work space, unless you go to some western companies. IT could be fine, but it won’t be as relaxing as in Australia.

Australia is a place you just don’t like for a long long time. Everything is slow, like extremely slow. Over time, you will understand the beauty. The nature is amazing, sunny and clear skies, great beaches everywhere, the water omg. You realise that this is a relaxing nation unlike Asia or the US.

Anyway, tomorrow I will be going back. You know what, if my new trading strategy works, I can be anywhere I want. My robot can earn money for me. This is always my goal, very challenging, but that’s why I need to work harder on this one. There is something promising, but I feel like I am just too worried about risk. There is no way I can profit without risks, right? How much is too much though?
