This year, the theme is exploration.

The first thing I want to do is learning JavaScript and Web Technologies. This is always my weak point because I refused to learn it. There must be a reason why they are so popular. That doesn’t mean that I won’t do native and mobile development anymore. Instead, I want to use them with web technologies to make better apps.

The next on the list is studying the economy. This is an area I never touched, but I think it is important to understand how the world works. I run my own small business but don’t know how to profit more from it. Anyway, this is a great opportunity to learn about it.

Reverse engineering is the next area I want to improve on. Before I started programming, I was playing with this. However, I didn’t learn it systematically. InfoSec is actually very interesting. It is like puzzle solving, and I enjoy doing it.

Also, I want to pick up my piano again. Drawing is also nice to have, but I don’t think it is a priority. I will continue my music theory studies, and improve my piano skills. Playing it myself is just different and unique. It is quite relaxing.

The last thing is better time management. It is not realistic to work all the time. I realise taking a break is also important. However, I shouldn’t be distracted by other things. I want to spend more time on meaningful things. Playing games is still better than watching YouTube or Bilibili. It is fine to watch videos, but it needs to have a time limit.

Overall, I want to try different things this year just like before. 10 years ago, I started programming and doing crazy things. That spirit is something I don’t want to lose. Maybe more posts as well?
