A month ago, I returned my iPhone SE. You might be wondering why it took so long. It is interesting because I only received it today. The device was returned twice because the seller sent the wrong model. I like the new device simply because everything works as it should.

For the past month, I was living with my old iPhone 6s, and it wasn’t great. The battery life was bad even if the battery health is still decent. Probably, it is due to the larger screen.

In the end, I still prefer this smaller and lighter iPhone SE. Now, I have applied a screen protector and added a Touch ID sticker. It helps with Touch ID because it keeps the actual sensor clean. This way, Touch ID works more reliably. My old wallet case is back as well. It has two card slots and a place to put some notes. It is quite handy to bring a few things with me, not just a phone.

Overall, this transition went smoothly. For less than $300, I got a decent iPhone SE 64 GB with an Apple Watch Series 3. It is much cheaper than buying a new phone, and I don’t need one because I simply wanted to try something different. To be honest, my Poco F2 Pro is even better now with the custom EU rom, and I can switch back to it at any time. The whole point is to show that $1000 phones, Apple or not, don’t worth the price.

Phones are getting boring nowadays. They get better cameras and larger screens every year. There is no more innovation, except for foldable phones. The Samsung Zfold 3 is something I want to see more in the future. It is a phone and a tablet in one, but it isn’t perfected yet. I will be using my SE for a while. Remember when iPhone 5 was a large phone? I miss those days.

Maybe, phones should never be this big. Battery issues? Were there such issues for Nokia phones? I could use it for a few days before charging. This is the thing, maybe phones were never meant to be this big. We consume way more content and even game on it. Is this a good thing?

I want to use my phone less and focus on what’s more important. IOS 15 has this work mode to pause everything. It is nice but one issue. People don’t call me anymore. Instead, they prefer to call me using an app like WeChat, but I won’t even know about it. I miss days when we used to send SMS.

Those days won’t return, unlike my iPhone SE.
