Everything all started with an idea back in 2016 or 2017 when I say this video on YouTube. I cannot remember when I first saw it but this video was the origin. It was just too cool to me and I couldn’t imagine that one day, I could achieve something similar. Last year, I was boring staying at home so I started learning some iOS and Android development while looking for a job. This idea came out again from no where and then, yet another journey began…
Puzzle and Dragons is a game I have been playing for more than 7 years. I started because my friend, Ryuta, was playing it back then. He doesn’t play this game anymore because this is an old game, too old maybe. I enjoyed playing this game with him back in Singapore. It was a short time but we became very closed friend even until this date. I will go to Japan and see him again once the border reopens hopefully this year. He left Singapore in June 2014 and I was lonely ever since. Life was fun back then. Game, Anime and many more. Life should be like this but not for us. I still miss those days because my life has been nothing but loneliness after that… More about this in the future.
pazusoba had its first annivesary in July this year. I am glad that I make it a reality. However, there are still much more to do. Currently, it is undergoing a rewrite and it is almost completed. The rewrite isn’t as good as the first version but it has a better structure so should be easier to update. I have learnt a lot from this project and I also realised that I am still too weak. My skill can still be improved further. I am a bit depressed but still hopeful. I still have future in this area. I can get better still because I haven’t reached my ceiling. I thought I have reached it but I was wrong. I learnt so much from this project and it is my first ever project using C++. A lot of first
in this project. First OpenCV project, first automation project and first time calling C++ from Python. There are still hopes and I will get better!
I will start exploring machine learning soon. I think I may not find a good heuristic function simply tweaking it myself. Machine learning is better at it but it requires lots of knowledge so I am starting from the basic and eventually, I will use it for pazusoba. I failed once but I will try again.
